I'm not sure we need religion, but humans do need to feel accepted. Being part of a religious organization is one way for one to feel like they belong.

Strictly my BELIEF,I admittedly can't back it up but....I think eventually they will discover SOMETHING,whether genetics or an area of the brain,that exists in some people that makes them NEED religion.I base this on my observation that obviously,there are a great many people,the majority even,in the world who NEED to worship.I am apparently completely lacking this need,but I acknowledge that most do indeed have a NEED to worship.The details,I don't know.But I certainly FEEL different than those who must worship something.I have no need,actually,I'll go even further.I find the whole worshiping and bowing thing to be distasteful and repulsive,demeaning

I'm athiest. I'm happy and my life is fulfilled.

Christians would tell me I'm going to h**l though.
