  1. Here in Canada it is very popular, we had a clump in our back yards all the years I was a lad.

I liked it stewed with sugar, in pies, not much for strawberrys with it, my mother used just make a pie or crisp/crumble with it, as a chef I like making chutneys and sauces, over ice cream and in jams.

I know it is popular it some areas, not alot in the U.S, but here in Canada because of the British Heritage we have rhubarb is more of a popular item, I do like a store made strawberry rhubarb pie, pound cake and tart, even over a chiffon or angel food cake.

  2. It is eaten, not only in the english speaking countries...tho' my favourite is my aunts strawberry rhubarb pie (from Ohio)...

But also in France, Belgium, and probably in Germany (of this I'm not too sure) In France I can find rhubarb preserve....

and my sister-in-law in Spain makes a rhubarb crumble (when she can find the rhubarb)

  3. Love it here in the USA...my mother made rhubarb, stewed; in pies alone and with strawberries, in a crumble and buckle.

  4. I dont think people know how to use it beyond strawberry rhubarb pie.

  5. I think it is still popular through out the English speaking world.

I have it growing in the backyard and as there is always more than I can use friends and neighbours are always happy to take some

Rhubarb or rhubarb and apple crumple is popular, so are pies and some tarts locally, I have even had it used with a main course of duck

  6. UK.

  7. My household loves it! We make all kinds of deserts and jams with it. My grandmother always grew it, and we enjoyed it.  I don't hear too many people speak of it though. It's hard to find here (Ohio, USA) unless you grow it yourself.
