Is risotto healthy (more inside)? ?

I don't use cream or anything in it, I just use stock to absorb into the rice then add veggies/fish (prawns, salmon etc) or both to to it. And I always have at least an extra portion of veg with it.

Is it healthy? Low fat?

Thanks

  1. hippy- Risotto is a creamy rice dish made with short-grain or Arborio Italian rice. The rice is gently cooked in butter or olive oil. Liquid, usually broth, is then added a small amount at a time until the rice is cooked and bathed in creamy liquid. If you use olive oil instead of butter, you have a healthy carbohydrate.  Your fish selections and veggies are great additions for good, low-fat nutrition.

  2. sounds pretty healthy and yummy to me (as long as you don't fry the vegies/fish in a lot of oil before adding them to the rice?)

  3. Yes,I thinks so.Please calculate your BMI

    If ok not to worry

    What is BMI?

    Body mass index should be 20 for female & 25 for male maximum

    BMI= Weight in kilogram/ (Height in Meter)2

    Suppose weight is 100 KG & Height is 2 Meter than BMI=100/(2) 2 =25

    This is acceptable for male but for femal has to reduce weight up to 80 KGS

  4. Seems pretty healthy and could be a good meal for menus in the tea diet.
