Is rockband good for wii ?

It's not very good, especially compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions

the game only comes with a set list of songs

while the other versions have a ton of other songs you can download and play

if I were you, I would wait for Guitar Hero: World Tour

YES!!!!  It's lots of fun, especially when you have a bunch of friends over.  Make sure you get the Rock Band Special Edition that comes with a guitar, drums, and a microphone.  You will need all of those instruments to get the most out of the game (And you can't use  Guitar Hero controllers if you have any.)  

Right now you can find Rock Band Special Edition Wii for $139.99 on Amazon and at some other stores... If you get the whole package now you will have everything you need to play Rock Band 2; the developers say the old instruments will be compatible with the new game (although it is claimed that the instruments will be improved for Rock Band 2).  If you wait until Guitar Hero IV and Rock Band 2 are out you will have to pay $50 more for a similar package.

Well as rock band is a great game but the wii was a little downfall. You couldn't download any songs and it just wasn't as fun as the 360 and PS3 versions. If I were you get rock band2 because the wii will also have DLC(Download Content) and that will make it much better. In my opinion guitar hero 4 will not be as great as rock band. Trust me get rock band2! It comes out in october if I am not mistaken.
