  1. It's not to the left or the right.  Vatican City is a tiny (as in a few city blocks) country located within the city limits of Rome.

  2. vatican city is in rome to the west of the city...

  3. The Vatican city is located within Rome. If you do decide to go, go with a tour to avoid extremely long line and the heat if you go in the summer time. Also remember to cover your shoulders, and knees! Otherwise they won't let you in.

  4. Vatican City IS IN Rome.... just take the METRO A to get there from everywhere in Roma

  5. Vatican city is in the northwest section of the city of Rome.  It is an independant country with its own guards and post office.  It is on the opposite side of the Tiber river from the pantheon, colosseum and forums.  There is a metro stop very close to the vatican museums.

You can go to map quest to get a map of Rome with the vatican listed.  Look for it to the left side of the river.

  8. The Vatican is  in the middle of Rome its only about 1/2 mile wide all the way around. It looks much smaller then it really is take my word for it I've been there 100 times
