Is rugby a girls sport?

is it just an excuse for men to 'tackle' each other and 'wrestle' with each other. surely Football/soccer is better?

A: No it isn't and if that is what you think rugby is about then lord alone knows what sort of game you have been watching

A: They are completely different games and I am not sure whay people compare the two. It is like comparing golf to croquet, or polo with water pol. Simply because they have the same word in their names :(

Rugby however is a game for both men and women, as there are internationals and teams right the way through all the ages after junior rugby starts at Under 12.

So it is a game for male or females.

I have seen many girls teams play each other.  Some times you can tell its a little slower then the men league, and the hits are not as fun to watch.  But at times, I have seen some extremely athletic girls that whoop up on each other and played some great rugby.

Also, have played on a team where a few girls have played full contacted with our team.  Rugby is all bout holding on to a ball and running foward, doesn't care bout if your a female or a male.

It is more complex than soccer and IMHO a better and more interesting game. There is much more to it than tackling and wrestling. Girls can play it of course but if you want to go up to the nearest beefy full back and say "rugby is just a girls sport" you may live to regret it.
