  1. Yip...but once you know how it's a snap, very enjoyable & satisfying & you've never enjoyed a hot shower like it after the game

  2. It's a rough game,you have to be fit.

  3. it looks that way but easy to score (penalty goal) thats all the scoring i see these days

  4. rugby as i know is a physical game. I wont say it's hard but it all depends on the players, ability, agility, physical strenght, concentration, skills and knowledge of the games.

if you know the rules properly, you will psychic yourself on tactics and game play before you enter the field. It also depends on team work and the type of game plan. Like keep the ball flowing decreasing the chances of tackles. So it all depends on what you are coached on.

But yes, it is a very physical game but not hard. You just need to KNOW the game and be physically fit for it. Thus playing is not hard but keeping fit for it maybe hard.

  5. Sure--you have to be fit and tough enough to take a beating (punches, stompings, etc.). I've been playing for 6 years now, since high school, and each game is just as hard as the last.

If you want to find out how tough it can be, check out our team's website. Click the "great rugby hit video" link.

  6. I dated a guy that played Rugby. It is a tough sport. Think football with no protection. A lot of the guys end up with missing teeth. Gross.

  7. Yep. You gotta be rough and tough and mean enough!

  8. I agree that rugby is a tough sport. However, it is NOT football with no protection. I know certain people like to think that, but they are not correct. Football (American) is a completely different game. It could not be played, in this day and age, without protection. To anyone who thinks this is so, I would like to challenge a rugby player to play American football, with American football players without protection. Forget missing teeth. You'd be lucky if you just ended up paralyzed from the neck down.

  9. I don't know how hard to play it is. But my son says it's hard on the body.  Kinda like playing American football without the pads and helmet.  For goodness sakes, that's crazy!

  10. It looks like it.

  11. Its a tough game to learn but as soon as you pick up the rudiments the rest falls into place, i reccommend going to the library or bookstore and checking some books on it

i actully bought the rugby for dummies giude and it HELPED ALOT its my second bible now that im playing for my school

  12. well from what I see it's not that hard, but you gotta be tough cuz they got no protection like american football.

  13. Watch your knees!

  14. With Rugby there are heaps of rules (laws) however as with any sport you need to put in the hard yards, that is, learn as much as you can about the game..watch as many games as you can preferably with someone who knows the game. Watching a game live is good but watching the classics on dvd (video) is even better as commentators generally explain whats going on in a game and atleast yo u can rewind if you missed something.

The main thing to remember is never pass the ball forward, put the ball down when you get to the score line (try line) and tackle only the ball carrier (evade the tackle if you are the ball carrier). The rest of the rules will fall into place with time.

With respect to the physicality of the game, it is a hard game but from my close-to-20yrs playing experience, things appear harder than they actually are. If you've got good basic survival instincts (that most people possess) then you have nothing to fear.

  15. for me ??h**l sure

  16. no it is really easy

  17. Well, it looks hard. It needs a little bit or brain and brawn to play rugby. You need to tackle, you need to try. But everything should be done under strict rules and regulations. Once you tackled the opponent player, if he falls down and you cannot go beyond him coz if you done so then it will be considered foul and all you team member will come back of you. Once ball is taken by opponent players then you go for another tackle.

There are other sort of rugby to play. The Touch Rugby where the player only get touch make the ball down. If one team touched six times then ball rollover to another team. You guys can play touch, this is free of tackle and lots of running.

    Happy Rugby

    Cheers
