  1. It is not a competition time. NFL players are running a 40 yard in pads in under 10 seconds A mile is run in 4 minutes, you'll need to shave 10% in the future. That short a distance, practice the starts.

  2. OH BOY THAT PATHETIC MA MANS I RUN 55 AND THATS NOT GOOD FOR HIGH SCHOOL

  3. thats a bad time...

in my first year of athletics i was 13 running 56.5

    now im 16 running 48.92

  4. It's not bad for a beginner. Don't let those answers get you down. You will improve quickly if you train 3-5 days each week. Make it a goal to drop 5 seconds off your 400 by the fall, or something like that.

Find a slightly faster friend on the track team, and try to run with him/her. You will be motivated to run just a little faster! Good luck.

  5. well i know that our small town team has a bunch of (guys) that run it in 54 second-59 seconds and our top gir runs a solid 1:04 she's a freshman

  6. Yeah pick it up!  You gotta get around that track in 60 seconds or less!

If you can do that - but you aren't really a sprinter type like Mr. Gloats-about-his-time up there... consider getting to under 60 and then doing another lap!  Move on up to the 800.

If you can only run above 60 but can do it forever - the 3200m is waiting for you!

  7. If you are a high school runner, it's not good at all. If you are a 5th grader, then it's fair.

  8. im a girl, im 14 and i run it in 68.

yeah im not gonna lie thats pretty bad.
