Is running important?

i've been going to the gym for a year now and all i do is work on my arms(triceps, biceps, shoulders) and my back after a 8 min warm up at the treadmill, recently i see the changes on my arms and i really like it however it doesnt match with my body that's full of excess tires...its not that bad but i really hate it when i folds up when i sit down, makes me look really fat...

so is there any other alternatives besides running that i can do to reduce the excess around my stomach? i've been wanting to go on protein shakes to build up my arms and body...is that ok?

  1. Protien shakes can have up to 40 grams of fay depending on what kind you get by a low fat one!

    Besides running you can

    swim

    go for long walks

sit ups and other things like that!

  2. swimming

  3. Do some simple sit ups. Just lay on the ground and stick your feet under a couch or something and do like 10 sit ups a day. The first few days you might feel some soreness, but this exercise really works great.
