  1. it seems that way.

they did it in Afghanistan to, until US messed it for them.

US could learn from Russia and Persia about getting what US wants, not from Isreal..

  2. wow you are dumb, iraq is like 8 times bigger than georgia, russia diddent overthrow anyone and russia diddent install a new government in georgia, russia just fought what is essentially a police force

you seem to be very uneducated and you definitly know nothing about war, or the different kinds of warfare and the differnent tactics needed to fight the different kinds of warfare, the troops needed, and the weapons needed, you think its as simple as "heres a gun now go shoot"

do humanity a favor and go get yourself fixed

you like to do these little drive by posts but dont recieve email, if you love russia so much move there im sick of people like you who talk out of there a*s

  3. yes

  4. should the US then follow its example of pillaging, and disregard of human rights? You seem to be the type that would bash the US over guatanamo bay or abu gharib, yet now you praise Russia for its "peacekeeping" abilities, forget the fact that it terrorized the inhabitants. It is easier to put down rebellions with  than with love.

There objective was utterly different from ours.

It is like thinking the Vietnam war, and WW2 are the same. Have Russia try to build a democratic foundation for a people who resign themselves to oppression from the ground up, I want to see how they would fare. Oh right, their own pseudo-democracy makes any corruption in the United States look like a civil service!

Now that my counter-rant is done, lets see Russia stay in Georgia for at least a year, you will see resistance. The very fact you stated, "georgia was begging for peace", shows that there is in fact a difference in the wars being fought. Just so you know, The US toppled Iraq's former government easily. All Russia showed through its invasion of Georgia is just how out of shape its forces really are.
