  1. Like Czech, Russian is a Slavic language, so the grammar and some of the vocabulary will be similar. In addition, Russian uses the Cyrillic alphabet, whereas Czech uses the more familiar Roman alphabet. All in all, Russian would only be a little harder than Czech, mostly in learning a new alphabet.

That having been said, I managed to teach myself to read and write Russian about 15 years ago. I don't claim fluency, but I was able to correspond with people in Russia with little difficulty. So I say go for it. Russian is a useful language, with a rich literary history, and well worth learning.

  2. Well, I am russian so I guess it would be kinda hard for me to know since I speak russian but I would think that it will be difficult because first of all, the alphabet is very different and there are alot of rules that you need to know; as in any other language I suppose, but if you want to try, go for it!

  3. Hi! I know Russian very well,so I can help you with it.Russian is my native language. I`m looking for a penfriend now to improve my English.I think it would  be a good exchande for us))

    Good luck.

  4. Well, Russian won't be easier than Czech. I found Russian slightly harder -- and I didn't have problems with the alphabet. Good luck nonetheless.
