I have my cable and computer connected to the same tv. If I want to work on my computer while my wife watches t.v. in picture and picture mode, one of the inputs must be in vhf, component or video input. Does s-video meet one of these criteria?

  1. yes it does

  2. S-Video carries only 480 interlaced horizontal lines of resolution or in other words "standard definition." Component Video is capable of carrying all the way up to 1080p although most TVs don't support 1080p through component cables. Component is definitely a High Definition interconnection though. S-Video would meet the "Video" input mode of one of the inputs.
