  1. I will share with you the most delicious way to enjoy saba sashimi.

As it is one of the more oilier kinds of fish, it benefits from a bit of an acidic element, and therefore I highly recommend you try it thinly sliced with a sprinkling of PONZU.

Ponzu is (just in case you aren't familiar) a mixture of soy sauce, rice vinegar and citrus.  If a Japanese market is convenient to you, they would most likely have several bottled brands.  Of course you can also make Ponzu yourself, and you'll find various recipes based on those 3 ingredients.

Lastly, a fine sprinkling of VERY finely sliced green onion and a grating of ginger is absolute heaven.

  2. The whole with or without soy sauce thing is all about personal taste; there's no wrong or right (or conventional) way to eat sashimi or sushi.

  3. with soy

  4. its usually eaten with soy sauce but everyone has a different taste so i suggest you try both
