Is salt lake city a good place to start over, living, new friends, working,etc..?

im going to college right now, and by may of next year, im going to graduate, im planning on moving, but i just thought someone would give me some information about utah.

I moved here from SoCal two years ago and it's been great for me. There are tons of things to do recreationally (hiking, climbing, biking, skiing), the U of U is nearby with annual sports games to see, great little dining places and neat clubs. However, it's going to take a little effort on your part to go out and meet people. Try meetin.org and craigslist.org to meet people. Cost of living is awesome too. Funny, though, I'm planning to move out sometime within the next year. You can take the girl out of the big city, but can't take the big city out of the girl and I'm looking for a bigger city.  You should definitely consider SLC.
