  1. Driving distance from Toronto, Ontario to Sarnia, Ontario  is 289 km – about 3 hours.

  2. For a list of (major) cities and their distances to Toronto, check out this page.

  3. Sarnia is close to Toronto in the grand scheme of things.  Hop on the 401 west and you should be there in about 3.5 - 4 hours (in good traffic).  Head north on 300 though.

Its closer than say driving to Algonquin Park and about the same distance to Kingston, but in the other direction.

    Hope that helps.

PS.  Leave with time to spare, the 401 is the busiest road in north america and a 3.5 hour trip can easily turn into a 6 hour trip.

  4. Get on the 401 west bound and drive for 3 1/2  hrs. Past London you have to cut off and go toward and past Strathroy. It is at the very bottom  tip of Lake  Huron  which is about 300 km  west from Toronto.

    I live in Mississauga.

  5. Sarnia is at the southern tip of Lake Huron across the river from the American city Port Huron, as you could easily see from a map. A gazetteer in an atlas would let you look up the name. Sarnia has an article in Wikipedia. Here are  links to the city government and to tourist info. I found this easily enough on the web. Why couldn't you?
