by satalite do you mean a satalite card... because to my knowledge a satalite card is just slightly faster than dial up

satellite isn't faster than anything but dial up

In actual speed terms, they are both fairly close.  The difference between them is the latency (time in milliseconds it takes a request to travel the loop) is very high for satellite connections.  I've enclosed a link to explain more.
