Mostly NO and Definitely - in that order.  There have been rare cases of Sati in recent times but not enough to say "it is practiced" and foeticide is very common, of course, nobody will admit to it.

The answer is NO...

But, some people do it.... even though it is illegal.

Sati is almost over.

But, female foeticide is done by people who are uneducated, ignorant, mis-informed people. The sad part is that those who help them are not so ignorant.
