Is saying "I love you" in a foreign language more romantic?

I have a friend who's German and he and his family speaks German. I think it's Dutch German. Anyway I was wondering if it'd be romantic if I said I love you to him in German?

a language adds a certain accent to things.

you can say things in German but it will sound more harsh...

or you can say things in a lower, s**y voice, in Spanish, and will sound sexier.

German language is rough ans course. A more romantic language is spanish " te quiero" or french.

but i'd stick with the good old english, "i love you" is the best and simplest

If it is your first time, say it in his primary language. I live in Germany and do not know what Dutch German is -- Deutsch (pronounced doy-ch)means German. Dutch is actually another language. If you do go with Deutsch/German, say "Ich Liebe Dich". Pronounced 'ish lee-ba deesh' if he is from further west Germany, 'ick lee-ba dickh' if he is from most other parts.

I think it would since it is his native language german. I speak spanish and I love it when my girl says Te amo so yeah Go ahead he'll think its super cute... don't listen to this people.

If you're not totally positive on how to pronounce it (like if you have a friend who speaks German and can actually teach it to you, not like an online pronunciation), then it might be cuter just to write it somewhere unexpected. But only if you're totally sure that it's write and that he'll understand it.
