  1. i think the real question is,   is saying "thats what she said" after every single thing a co-worker says, even if "thats what she said" does not make any sense, whatsoever, in the context of the sentence or conversation, considered sexual harrassment?   just throwing that one out there.

  2. No.

  3. i think that it is a great line to use.  if ppl get offended then you need to lighten up and get a life.  there r starving ppl out their in the world

  4. Don't call ANYONE "Babe" at work!

  5. no

but ciao in bed babe is consideredd sexual harassment

  6. I don't think it is.  Only someone who is extremely oversensitive would...

but then these days it seems the workplace is ruled by the extremely oversensitive, so it's really best to not say ANYTHING that could be construed as "offensive"...at least while on the job.

Check it out: even if the person you're addressing isn't offended...a 3d party overhearing it can STILL bring on a complaint and the workplace has to take it seriously because of the way the Equal Employment Opportunity Commision's rules are set up...and let's face it, EVERY workplace has at least one party pooper who has to stir up stuff because they have nothing better to do!

Examples:  harrassment charges were brought up on a man who had a picture at his desk... of his WIFE in a bikini!  Another person was sued for harrassment because of discussing a Seinfeld episode....and the courts sided with the complainers in both cases!

It sucks and it's really not fair, but that's how it is.

  7. No, of course not. How silly.

  8. With all the sexual harrassment suits flying around in workplaces these days I doubt it.  I work with this guy with long hair.  A co-worker of ours also had long hair, (male) and he showed up to work with a haircut.  My long haired co-worker said to him, "Hey, now what are the boys going to hang on to?"  A stupid joke but really, it was just that..a JOKE.  Anyways, new haircut went to our union and complained and my long haired buddy got suspended for sexual harassment.  It's crazy.  I honeslty think people need to take it easy and relax.  Like they say.."Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out of it alive"

  9. not harrasmet, no.  just rude to some people.

  10. It's not harassment unless you ask them to stop calling you "babe" and they continue to do so.

  11. Only if you keep saying it to someone that has told you to stop because it bothered them.

  12. It's not harassment, but "babe" should be reserved for close friends, not business associates.  It's more along the lines of poor business etiquette.

  13. No.  It is not harassment, but it is not appropriate for the office either.

  14. Only if you said it repeatedly after she told you to stop calling her that.

  15. "Ciao" is perfectly acceptable. Try leaving off the "babe," however.

  16. h**l no. I say that to everyone.. Even people I don't know. I call teachers 'babe' and it's fine.

  17. According to Charlie Sheen...It is perfectly acceptable..

Try to use it on business calls that are not going your way...

  18. Not really, but if you don't call the men "Babe" then you should not call women that, either.  She's got a name - USE IT.

  19. I don't think so, but if you want legal advise you could check out http://www.orangecountyemploymentlawyers... .  They'd know  the answer.

  20. I'm not sure that it would be consider sexual harassment, but it may, for some women, seem condescending or demeaning.  Although you may have no ill intent, words such as "babe", "princess", and even "beautiful" can be offensive to some.

  21. biao is

  22. I would think almost certainly yes, nowadays.

  23. no, i don't think it is.

  24. Not at all.  That's how "goodbye" is said in a lot of Europe
