Is scaning frequenlty is harmful for the baby

hi all!!

i need to know that is scan during pregnancy is harmful for the baby or his skin????

actually im 7 months pregnant and i have a left overian cyst. in my first trimester it was a ittle large, and i got scanned like about after a month or 6 wks.

i got my last 5th scan on 29th of july

now the cyst size has reduced. but my doc is a little unsure the the report

so she ad. me to have the scan again on 15th this month

my baby is active and normal

SOME PPL SAYS THAT THE SOUND RAYS ARE NOT GOOD FOR THE BABY

PLZ GUIDE IS IT TRUE?????

There hasnt been enough research done to show how safe ultrasounds are for unborn babies. I guess thats why they usually only give you two.

You really need to ask these questions when you go on the 15th.

I researched the heck out of this when I was pregnant. The doctors and hospitals who make big bucks from these scans say they are perfectly safe. The truth is they haven't been studied enough to prove they are dangerous or safe. So...I'd say go with your gut on this one because the jury of "experts" seems to still be out. I imagine a lot of rabid people will scream that it is perfectly alright of course you'd know if there was any risk it's crazy to believe there is but may I just point out that advances in medicine and science are constantly telling us new things and refuting what the "experts" used to treat as gospel. 100 years ago they still proscribed heroine.
