Is schengen visa valid for switzerland also?

Can schengen visa be use to enter in and roam around in Switzerland too? I don't see Switzerland mentioned in the countries in the Schengen treaty

Switzerland signed the treaty but did not enforce it. You need a special visa for Switzerland. If you want to find out who of the 26 nations that signed the treaty is enforcing it, as far as I know most of them except what is called Eatern Europe, they have not enforced it yet. But, you might ask at any embassy.
