  2. It sure seems to have that impact on kids.  They spend more waking time at school than home.  

    I think this is the real basis for the socialization myth about homeschooling.  People tend to only see things from their own perspective and believe that social interaction only happens at school.  But that is because they spend so much time there, they don't get that if you spend time elsewhere, you are also socializing with people.

  4. Well, many kids spend more 'awake'  hours at school than they do at home so ...yea, I guess you could consider it a 'home'.  Your parents place the state employees as your guardians and authorities while you are there.

  5. I sure hope no child would ever feel that way.

    School is a place where one has to go for several hours a day because it is the law.

    Home is a place where the heart is, and one needs no mandatory requirement to walk through the doors; home is a place where families want to be.
