Is schoolwork in the US easier at the high school level than in Jamaica?

My friend who lives in the United States says the high school level schoolwork is easier than the high school level school work in Jamaica? Is this true because i find schoolwork in Jamaica managaeble and I am wondering if i go to the States if it will challenge me enough?

  1. I depends on what school you go to, generally. I don't know what the education in Jamaica is like, but I've gone from school to school in my own community. I went to a private, lutheran school for kindergarten through second grade, and the change from that to elementary school for third grade was astounding. I knew a lot more than the students that had always gone to that school.

    I'd just research schools for a while before picking one. And if you go to a really large city, there will probably be specialized highs schools for specific interests.
