Is science based off facts and observation?

this is from my philosophy of science paper.

im not sure if i should write about science is based off facts and obs. or against it.

what do you think?

  1. i think science is based off facts and oberservations. the defintion of science is mans observations of the climate,atmosphere,world and space.

  3. By definition, Science is based on

    - Observation

    - Forming a Theory to Explain the Observation

    - Using the Theory to Predict Results

    - If the Theory is proven conclusively, it becomes a Law

    - Then we go back to Observation and see if any new observation violates known Laws, and the cycle repeats.

    The end result is the accumulation of the knowledge and applications of Laws and Theories that govern our Universe.
