  1. Yes, you are completely safe.

If you have no training, then you will be going on an instructor supervised tour.  You won't go very deep.  You won't be exposed to anything dangerous.

Think of it this way - SCUBA diving is interesting enough that if there was a problem with people having accidents, we'd all be hearing about it in the news.  I can't tell you the last time I read a news article about a tourist having a problem.

  2. It's a pretty safe risk, just don't do anything stupid.

  3. This is a guided dive and should not be a problem.  If it is run by a reputable organization you will go through a "Resort Dive" course that trains you in the basics of Scuba Diving including safety procedures before entering the water.  Or they will use "SNUBA", a surface-supplied air system that is very safe.  In either case your depths will be limited and as long as you stay with your guide and follow the pre-dive briefing (dive plan) you will have very insignificant risk.  Relax and enjoy, and maybe this experience will motivate you to go on and get your own Openwater Scuba certification!

  4. It is fun, it is safe, and you will enjoy the scenery immensely.  To do Scuba, you've probably had some training, so relax.  Also, no matter what, remember to go with a buddy, just in case something unexpected does happen.  Besides, if nothing happens, the two of you will have loads to talk about from what you've seen together.

    Have a GREAT dive.

  5. of course is safe! until a shark comes from behind and rips both ur legs!!

  6. Scuba diving is very, very safe.  There are a couple of rules that if you always follow them, you will probably never have a problem.  The leader/instructor of the guided dive should go over these before you dive, but here are the basic rules:

    1.  Never hold your breath.

    2.  Monitor your air supply.

    3.  Do not ascend too fast (i.e. swim slowly to the surface).

Regarding marine life, they are more afraid of you.  Don't touch them unless they touch you first.

  7. I personally would not do it unless you've been trained.  There's a reason why divers usually get certified with NAUI or PADI before going out into open water.

The only time I might make an exception is for extremely shallow water with little-or-no currents.  If something went wrong, can you safely swim to the surface?

Also be aware some forms of marine life are dangerous or poisonous.  I really hope this tour company takes the time to teach you what not to touch.

  8. -neva hold ya breath

    -neva dive alone

-don't panic ( truly can cause trouble, as in )

    -enjoy ya dive
