Is seeing each other once in every 2 weeks considered keeping a distance from each other?

I am friends with a guy who is attached. We enjoy each other company and I try to respect the fact that he is married. However we see each other once in every 2 weeks because I am trying to still be friends but keeping my self distance from him. We don't call each other or hang out on a regular basis.

I am keeping my distance?

If he is married, his wife needs to know that the two of you are hanging out, no matter how innocent it may be or how often.  Keeping your distance is not enough.

no, once every 2 weeks is too often to be seeing a married guy. i don't even see my best friends every 2 weeks!  i hate to tell you, but that IS a 'regular basis'!  have some respect for his wife.

If you were really friends, you wouldn't have to have some arbitrary rule about "we can only see each other once every two weeks."

It sounds to me like either one or both of you have feelings for each other. If that is the case, you should let your friendship go now that he is married.

If that is not the case, then you should be able to see each other whenever. I'd go hang out with him and his wife. Take your own date sometimes. It would be fun. You may end up being good friends with the wife, too.

But your question makes me wonder what your real intentions are.

It does depend of course on what type of meetings they are..

I would be tempted to cut all face to face meetings out for a bit. By the sounds of things you are struggling to maintain your feelings for this man as purely platonic.

You're friends with this guy... you don't indicate you're romantically involved with him.  Can you include his wife?  You may become friends with her, too.
