  1. Most definitely - not many people  can boast that they've seen the work of on of the most famed artist (Leonardo Da Vinci) in person and I think that everyone should appreciate fine art.

  2. Follow Nora87's advice and book to see it. The "Last Supper" is probably even more famous than the "Mona Lisa". It's a must see if you are doing Milan.

  3. well, I can tell you because I live in Milan and actually

went to school in the palace adiacent to the basilica "Santa Maria delle Grazie" where the Ultima Cena (last supper) is kept.

    I went there many times.

it has recently undergone a cleaning and a restoration,

so it looks a lot better than it used before (I've been told, because I never saw it before)

the place is always full of tourists, especially japanese people taking pictures of everything :)

about the painting itself: if you are by any meaning interested in art and culture you MUST go to see it, it's of primary importance and after all, it's LEONARDO's masterpiece...

    isn't that enough?

if you are interested in art when in Milan ask for the "Pinacoteca di Brera" as well, it contains paintings of italian artists (medieval, renaissance, baroque, venetian, romantic, impressionists) like Cimabue, Caravaggio, Hayez,

Piero della Francesca, and many others.

of course....if you don't think that it is worth your attention, you are free not to go to the last supper...but maybe

you would regret it later.... don't you think?

  4. I live near Milan and I saw it some years ago: it's wonderful, I can't describe it...! I think that all the masterpieces in the world worth to be seen.

But remember to book your visit in advance, you can do it here:
