Is seismic toss better or counter?

I have a charizard lvl 45 in Fire red and is knows flamethrower, slash, wing attack and seismic toss. I want to know if i should learn counter and get rid of one of the other moves.

Both moves are good in their own respects, so you must make the choice yourself of which one will suite you better in battle.

Seismic Toss merly does damage equal to your Charizard's level. So the most damage Seismic Toss will do is 100 (lv 100 is the max).

It is a decent move since it is not weak to any type or resisted (except for Ghost-types) and will alway do the set number of damage equal to your level.

Counter, on the other hand, counters all physical moves for twice the damage done to the user.

Only PHYSICAL moves though, so any special moves like Hydro Pump, Thunderbolt or the like, Counter will fail on those moves.

Counter will always make you attack last so as to determine how much more damage you have to counter.

If your Charizard uses Counter, the opponent will attack first. If it attack with Slash, and hit Charizard for half its damage, Counter will then knock out the opponent, since double of half the damage is full...if you follow me ^_^

Again, both moves are great and you will just have to pick for yourself of which ever one fancies you more.

i think seismic toss is better cuz some pokemon may not have those moves that counter can work. also if you ever get the HM fly then teach it fly.  if you need more help deciding wat moves it should have then go to serebii.net  =)

I like seismic toss better for battling between lvl's 20-60 but after that it becomes weak and the only use I have found for it is as a last resort or for when am fighting something that just isn't weak against anything I have and It just happens to be the only thing that will do any damage.
