Ive had the inviations ready for about 3 weeks and I am so ready to send them out. I am planning on sending them out tomorrow and hopefully everyone will get it within the end of week. the party is July 19th but RSVP is June 25.. so thats giving people 5 weeks to rsvp then 3 weeks till the party. What do you think?

  1. I think it's no problem. But you might want to do something as a reminder. Maybe send out a reminder, or make sure you let everyone know that the party is coming up about a week before. It's good to give advanced notice, that way people can get out of work and don't make any plans.

  2. I think you did the right thing because people maybe  planning summer outings, this will give them plenty of time .

  3. I think it is plenty of time.  You could even wait until the end of May to send them out.

  4. Unless you're planning a wedding, 8 weeks seems a little soon to me.  I would send out "save the date" cards at this point instead, then send the invitations 4-6 weeks out.

  5. a friend of mine did what your planning on doing in that she sent out her invites around a month and a half before the party, this gave everyone a lot of time to build the party up. in the end it had been so built up that it was a slight let down even thought it was a very good party. if you have something special planned keep it a secret and if you cant do that only tell a few. i personally would wait a few more weeks until handing them out because i wouldn't want the worry of the party itself a let down.

  6. I think that is acceptable...  especially if you are expecting guests from out of town.  You may want to request the guests' e-mail address along with the RSVP that way you can CC: everyone with the updates.
