It states that Imam Khomini of Iran allowed these operations, stating that the Qur'an says nothing about them. What of the hadith?

  1. why ask a question when you already know the answer? yes it is harram, i also think its harram with no doubt!

    Yeah right¬  does have a point...interesting

  2. Who cares about what an imam says, anybody can make different statements.

Holy book says it is 'HARAM'.

  3. most of my followers(sunnis) are g**s

  4. I can't speak for Imam Khomini, but this verse makes very clear that it is Satan who incites man to alter Allahs creation.

    Al-Nisa' Chapter 4 : Verse 120

'And assuredly I will lead them astray and assuredly I will arouse in them vain desires, and assuredly I will incite them and they will cut the ears of cattle; and assuredly I will incite them and they will alter Allah's creation.' And whoever takes Satan for a friend instead of Allah, he certainly suffers a manifest loss.

Cutting of the hair etc is a natural process that is needed for hygence purposes.  It was sunnah most certainly.  Altering Allah's creation to the extent of changing a gender would fall into the category described by this verse very clearly.  So yes, I would say the Qur'an is very clear that a s*x change is haram.

There is also a Hadeeth that a man should not dress like a woman, nor a woman like a man.  If even dressing like the opposite gender is forbidden, on what grounds can someone physically change their gender to look like the other?

love for all, hatred for none

  5. Sunni fatwa allows males that have had s*x change to become female Muslimahs reverts, isn't that the same.

Yeah right¬ has a very good point, it is beyond there control, sometimes it is good to think outside the box.

Ask your Imam this, if a male that has had a s*x change when he was a christian, and now she wants to become Muslim, see what he tells you?

All this proves is that Khomeini was way ahead of his time, cause people treated it as a choice or a perversion, he was the first religious leader (Jew, Christian, Muslim) to recognize it as a medical condition, as it should be.

  6. of course itz haram...datz disgusting...love ur body  ALLAH has given u!

  7. As Salaam to you all,

Allah (SWT) made man and woman and states that each should not copy the other by dress and actions. Also we should not change the body of the individual with the use of cosmetic surgery.

Allah (SWT) made man to be man and woman to be woman and anyway a man undergoing a s*x change does not become a woman, for they are missing the sexual reproduction essential parts. A man, or a woman that undergoes surgery to change their gender will enter the h**l Fire.

Shaving the beard is not a form of beautifying by surgery but rather an individual form of interpretation of what is not within itself Fard. Some secular ideology say it is fard but there is a good Hadith from the Prophet (pbuh) which states that 'no believing man should look like a non-believer'. So should a Muslim man look like a Sikh, who also grow beards, or to any other group of non-believers such as the Greek or Russian Orthodox Priests?

Just because the Glorious Qur'an says nothing about this does not mean that we can make something Halal about a subject that was not around at that time. But there are plently of references to 'not change what Allah (SWT) has given to you' and likewise within the Hadith of the Prophet (pbuh). So take your pick, however it is Haram and nothing anyone can do about it and it will remain so till the Day of Judgement. The aurgument I was a woman trapped in a male body will hold no sway on the Day of Judgement.

    Wa Salaam.

  8. You can't say "don't change Allah's creation." There are hermaphrodites, what about them, eh?! The Mullahs say they aren't allowed to have s*x until they "fix" their gender.

And, it's none of you or other Muslim's business that someone wants to change their s*x. If you think it's wrong, don't do it. I think Islam is wrong, I would never want it banned though.

EDIT to the1qfactor: You seem to be a reasonable person. How do you explain hermaphroditism then? Since you're saying one shouldn't alter their body, are you saying that Allah had a mistake in their creation? Or that they should never have s*x?
