My girlfriend is going to college now and she is going to be in a dorm. Me and her both really care for each other but I am her first boyfriend believe it or not. She knows that she loves be but doesn't want to feel tied down before she gets to see what its like to live on her own, she also doesn't want to be tied down with one guy cause she never knew what dating was really like. For her first semester or two we are going to be "broken up". We both agreed to date a while but I really don't want to... Kind of worried she will find someone better and wont want to get back with me after the first semester or two...

I think she is doing the right thing cause it is best to date around a bit before being tied down... but i cant help but feeling lost... can anyone give me advice?

  1. Date other girls.  Who knows yo may find someone you would rather be with than her.  Life is unpredictable.

  2. It is a good idea.  Too many kids marry their high school sweetheart and then get divorced later when they find out that they never experienced the world before they got married.  Just remember if she finds someone else, she probably would have done so anyway but it would have hurt worse because you were engaged or divorced!  Remember she too has to worry about you finding someone Else!  Just go out casually on occasion and if the two of you are meant to be, you will be.

My hubby was worried that we would break up when I went back to school bit that did not happen.  If you are meant to be,,,,you will be!

Good Luck!  Living in a dorm is great fun!

  3. You should consider the break-up permanent. Sorry but that's what will happen anyway
