I went to the hospital for my aunt, and I dont know how we got into this conversation but she said you can get pregnant your first month of using birth control. Im pretty sure it's impossible. And is birth control still effective if you take them at different hours?

  1. she is right it needs time to get into your internal systems also if you take it at diffrent hours of the day the body dose not get used to it

  2. Birth control is most effective when you take the pill at the same time everyday and even when on the pill 5 to 8 couples out of 100 will still become pregnant. The pill is 92-99.7% effective. It is reccommended to take the pill as well as using a condom, but if you do not want to use a condom, it is reccommended that you go through one full cycle of birth control pills because you may still get pregnant. Even in the first week of taking the pill, it is not completely safe to have s*x. Also, for younger women, birth control has been studied as being less effective.

    I sure hope that helped. : )

  3. You dont have to take them the same time every day for it to work just daily.

Different birth controls and different bodies work differently. Yes you can still get pregnant until the birth control is in full effect, the first month is a risk and a lot of time it is best to wait 3 months for it to be 100% well 99%. It can also take that long to get back out of your system.

Different birth controls work differently. You can ask your doctor about each one and how soon they kick in and so on.

But yes you can get pregnant in the first month, really you can still get pregnant on birthcontrol it isn't 100% It is all about you and your body.

Being ill and taking medications, drugs or drinking can also effect how well your birthcontrol works. When very ill and prescribed something like amoxasilan it will even say it can effect any other medications and BC in the warnings.

  4. She's right. It takes at least a month for birth control to start working and even afterwards, it's not 100% effective.

  5. Birth control is never 100% effective.  Ever.

So it doesn't matter if you've taken it for a month or for 5 years, you still run the risk of getting pregnant.  And you should always take them at the same time each day.

  6. When I started taking birth control pills a long time ago, lol, My doctor said to wait for 1 cycle, so about a month, before having s*x because sometimes it takes a month for the pill to fully kick in. That is just what my doctor said. And a lot of pills you have to take at the same time everyday otherwise it may not be as effective. So yes you can get pregnant on your first month using birth control going by what my doctor said.

Edit: the birth control pill I was taking said that you had to take it around or at the same time everyday for it to work the best.

  7. Um the first month would prolly be the most likely for you to get pregnant but im sure the statistics are low.

The more regular you take them the more effective, say 9pm every night... especially if your on a low dose pill.

  8. i am nearly sure you could get pregnant in your first month of using birth control. i was told you had to be on it for nearly 3 months for it to be safe. i am or should i say was on it and now i am 5 weeks pregnant

  9. Yes, you can get pregnant on birth control at all times, but it is pretty rare if you are taking it right

  10. You can get pregnant during taking the birth control pill, no matter when. I think more at the beginning because its still begining to work?

I don't take the pill, but I heard that you have to take it at a set time?
