Is showering with contact lens on bad for your eyes?

I heard from people that it's bad to shower with your contacts on because water can get in your eyes and stuff... I've always worn contacts on before I showered for about 3 years and never had any problems with my eyes... So is this bad?

not a problem, you're more than likely keeping your eyes closed when you get your face wet anyway.

No it is bad to like soak your lenses in water and put them on. I shower with mine and have no problems.

Your contacts will soak up all the chemicals and pathogens in the water and hold them against your eye.  This increases your risk for infections and irritations, so it's not advised that you wear contacts in the shower.

No, it's not bad for your eyes.  It's not like you keep your eyes open while having the water fall on your face.  It's the same as being in the shower without contacts.  And even if water does get in your eyes, it's just water and the worst that can happen would be your contact falling out and even that is unlikely.
