Is shyness in itself a form of controlling behavior?

actually im not referring to shyness as controlling the shy person but others.

  1. I don't think it is, because I don't think shyness can be controlled.  And if shyness can't be controlled, then neither can the behavior that goes along with it.


  2. no, not really. It kind of helps people shy away from being controllive, actually. But people could take advantage of shyness.... just a warning....

    I think it might be, the shy person is trying to control their self from "giving in" to their surrounding? Just a thought-might be wrong

  4. In a way, yes. Your critical inner voice tells you to stop doing certain things to "protect" you. I put that in quotes because in reality, it's harming you. It's not helping you speak out in the real world and stand up for yourself.
