  1. I sleep with the light on.

  2. For some reason I feel more relaxed whenever I'm in my room and its absolutely dark. I feel more calm, the abscence of light makes it easier to think since nothing is visible and its even better if there is no one around making any noise. Its peaceful and a great way to clear my head.

  3. I think it's more relaxing since it hides and consumes most of everything, allowing one to forget and relax, to retreat from everything.

  4. Its only relaxing when I'm tired.

But when I'm not tired, I like the sunlight.

  5. depends....if it is darkness to do with the time of the day it is, then it is as it should be and I am calm...

If it is darkness like being in a box without windows....no! This would depress me!

  6. more relaxing duh! It gives me time to actually clear my head and actually able to think!!!

  7. As long as I am not locked in a space against my will, I enjoy sitting in the dark because of the way it opens up my mind to imagination.  Light always upsets my eyes and agitates the mind; whereas darkness calms and soothes it.

When I have a headache, I would close all the blinds to purposely darken the room and just relax on the bed and think happy thoughts..It always helps..

  8. I go outside sometimes and lay under the stars.  I focus on one, and then 2, and then 3... and then many.  Within moments I see them all at once, each next to the other.  The stars move, and collide, and touch.. and the sky dances as my vision perplexes.  And its confusing to see, but through all the struggling of life.  For a instant when I stare up at the stars comes a moment of peace... a dreamlike state, where reality doesn't matter, and the beginning and the end are so much simpler than they tend to be.  That's the dark to me.  The light is only the struggle, the night is the end time.  In those moments I don't know whether or not I want to move and change the world... or just drift off to nothingness.

  9. i guess it depends, on your state of mind. I sit in the dark alot, sometimes because i find that it's easier for me to think in the dark as strange as it sounds. So i would say it's a relaxing experince for me. However if your sitting of the dark hiding from something or so you don't see yourself. Than i would say it's a depressing experince for you.

  10. Anytime i can't see my gross reflection in the mirror it is more relaxing.

  11. As long as it's dark and quiet, it's relaxing.

  12. Very relaxing I can hear the sound of the waves gently hitting the rocks below the surface of my window.

  13. I love sitting in the dark! It is so peaceful and soothing.  Plus, I feel like I can do my best thinking, creating, and dreaming in the dark.  There are very few distractions even if it is not completely silent.

I talk to myself a lot, in the dark, very softly but just loud enough to hear the words.   I think I comprehend more when I hear the spoken word.

    Thanks for reading!

  14. probably depends on what I'm thinking about, more than likely relaxing to me.

  15. If I'm out under the stars, it's definitely more relaxing.

  16. If it's outside under the stars, it's relaxing and free. If it's in a 4 cornered room, it's gasping-for-air depressing

  17. It depends on what mood I am in already...if I am feeling down and I sit in the pitch dark it adds to the sadness, if I am in a good mood it is relaxing.

If it is a nice place outdoors at night or if it is indoors and I have some candles lit or soft music playing, etc. then it is always relaxing.  :]

  18. well it depends. if your under the stars yes. In my opinion if your in a room by yourself in the dark its scary. but to some ppl its calming
