Is skate (xbox360) a good game for people who don't acctually skateboard ?

I played the demo and I really like it .but the problem is that I don't know anything about skating in real life . should I get it even if i'm not really into skateboarding

If you've played it and like it, then get it!

I've been a fan of the Tony Hawk series before I got into skating and I really enjoyed playing. You can learn a lot about skating by just playing the game.

I say you buy it. It's not like you can really compare skating in real life to clicking buttons...

skate is a pretty good game to me when i play it. they made it pretty close to actual skateboarding. the way you move the analog down to pop the board and flick it to do a kickflip. this is the closest to skating i've ever experienced.
