Is half pipe in skateboarding a better way than street if you do a lot of spins and which one of the two have a less likely risk to get injured

  1. do a little of both, skateboarding and mountain boarding because they both have different things that relate to snowboarding.  In a half-pipe, if people fall they usually land on there knees and slide down so wear knee pads.  If you're in a street you're more likely to be injured because there is cars, dogs, pedestrians, rocks, etc.

    hope this helps

  2. I think the best way to improve your skill would be to move in a resort where you can both skate and ride

I lived in whistler for 4 years now and summer is pretty good around here as you can go snowboarding on the glacier all day and go skate at night.

its quite cheap as well the glacier pass is 350$-400$can for the whole summer it doesn't give you access to all the camps, but the public park is really good.

As for the skate we have a sick street course and a nice mini ramp(no big one tho)

you can do the same at mount hood

  3. skateboarding

  4. your risk of getting injured is about equal depending on the condition of the streets you skate. i like to watch my bf skate both but in the summer when its nice i like to go to watch him at outdoor skate parks

  5. honestly the best way period is to sandboard but since that isnt mainstream...

if you want to practice for a pipe then do the skateboarding halfpipe otherwise mountainboarding is the better choice... both of these options have potiential to get you hurt but lots of ppl do em

  6. Skating is a great way to get better at spinning.

You can always tell the skaters at the mountain, because they don't go big, but they spin like crazy.

Skating is also good for getting better at rails.

  7. well... skateboarding would be the better choice. the reason is.... once you get the flip tricks and rails... snowboarding will be a cakewalk.
