Is ski wear by Parallel any good (for a beginner snowboarder)?

I'm going snowboarding for the first time in March and I want some snowboarding clothes which are not going to be too expensive but will last a few trips. There is a good offer on Parallel at the moment but I want to know if it is cheap because it is c**p or if it is worth spending money on. The range is Parallel Icicle jacket and Parallel Drifta pants.

I've never heard of that brand. Does it have a waterproof rating? Like 5k, 10k, 15k, etc? I would get at least 10k.
