  1. skiing. my brother actually has knee issues just from snowboarding. =/

but he still loves it!!! haha. i do also..

  2. just enjoy

  3. snowboarding is not good for the knees. I'm sure I'll have arthritis when I'm older. Actually I'm surprised I haven't wrecked my meniscus or ACL yet. Guess I'm just limber or something.

sounds like you want skiing, it just looks generally safer and more tame.

  4. it depends if you only ski once a month and slow or someone who skis 3-5 days a week. big chances are that if you are gonna do a sport full time knee injuries might occur. ive been skiing for about 10 years now and have a lot of knee problems.

  5. IMO snowboarding is probably better on the knees. being a skiier myself, knees do get a bit sore. But skiing is funner :)

Don't quote me on this though

  6. there both are hard on the knees but if you build up your mucle strength in your thighs and your calph it wont be as bad

  7. Well, half-pipe snowboarding can be very hard on your knees, because especially in competition, half-pipe involves landing your knees on the pipe 7-8 times when you do spectacular tricks in the air. This is because you may be up above the half pipe as high as 10-12 feet, so the impact can be quite hard. For instance, doing a big frontside or backside air and landing is hardest on your knees......doing any of the multiple rotations like 720s or 1080s is less hard because most of the force is distributed on the turning of the whole body and not landing on the pipe really straight.

Skiing is better on your knees...but the caveat is avoid mogul skiing unless you have strong knees, because moguls in skiing are like big potholes hitting on your knees....Not to mention adding those kicker jump ramps especially in competitive mogul skiing where you have to jump and do tricks two times.....I hope your knees are ready to take a big, big beating.....

  8. skiing & snowboarding are hard on the knees.
