yer its awesome fun, I've been skiing since i was 5 and have always loved it. you should definitely go.

pick a resort with plenty of blue and green runs to begin with!!!

Absolutely.  I can't think of another sport where you can get that kind of rush, and be surrounded by such beautiful scenery at the same time.

The only down sides are it's expensive, and (well, I guess like any sport) if you act stupid you can get hurt.  But if you don't act stupid it's pretty safe.  "Acting stupid" would include things like going on the expert slopes on your first day of skiing in your life.

yeah you get this great rush. everything just flashes by in a blur! I haven't been in a while-too busy w/skating

I love it so much, but definately take a few lessons before you start. It isn't fun until you are comfortable turning and stopping and controlling your speed. But once you pick that up (after a couple half-day lessons) it's such a blast.
