Is slipknot poser? or are they real death metal?

I have a bunch of friends who are like "Yah slipknot is the best metal band, there so hardcore" but i personally think that slipknot is poser and a bunch of wannabe goths trying to hard. who is right me or my friends.

Not a death metal band, some member took part in death metal bands (Mick was on Malevolent Creation latest cd) as well as some members featured on a terrible Biohazard cd.

A lot of metal bands appreciate what slipknot has really accomplished, Of course you don't have to enjoy it.

they arent death metal, but are metal. but no they arent posers. HAVENT U HEARD THEM??

death metal, I'm sorry but Slipknot is NOT death metal, they don't even consider themselves as Death Metal. but they are metal.

there was once upon a time when Slipknot was good. but now days they are posers

The are just metal...simple...that's all there is to it! They arn't posers cause they have been like this from the start.....so hate them all you want..but your wrong! I aint even a huge fan of them either
