It is definitely the best billiard game in my opinion, but again it is not so much a game as a sport. It is great both to watch and play, the tremendous pleasure of a good break, the thrill of trying to snooker your opponent and escape them with the score close. In pool the racks fly by quickly, one after another, and there's a feeling it doesn't really matter. I make a mistake, and rack it up again. In snooker I feel the pain when I make a mistake, there's so much more tension and excitement.

Not the best sport of all though, that would be baseball for me.

To be honest with you I find it rather boring but then I don't really know the game it self which is probably a big reason it isn't that exciting for me. It will hold my attention about 15 minutes then it's petty routine. I prefer the ever changing stragies in 9 & 8 ball. A good straight pool game I find way more interesting and I believe it requires a much wider plain of vision to play it efficiently.

if you ask: Is the Snooker the best game in cue sports??  I would answer.....NO...  I play both Pool and Snooker. I found out that Snooker is really hard in terms of pocketing. The fact that the throw effect is larger in Snooker make this game really hard. If we talk about POSITION PLAY and SAFETY PLAY,   Pool is much artistic than Snooker.  You can watch a video in youtube regarding about artistic play in Pool....search for a match between Ralf Soquet and Wu, and you can see how artistic the game was..

Whenever I play Snooker before playing Pool, the effect was really great. I gain speed and better accuracy..

It depends upon the person... if u love a game then it is obviously the best game for you... but not for all madam...

snooker is a great sport, but you can't say it's the best, i don't believe you will ever be able to say that there is such a sport, the best in the world

well the players are certainly the most honest  they even call a foul against themselves if the ref misses it i dont see that in any other sports

Since I like all "billiard" games... I'll say that snooker is up there on my top 10 list with the rest that are played on a pool table.

Others played on snooker or pool tables are: Golf, 9-ball, 8-ball, 7-ball, Alabama, cribbage, straight, banks, and since "Straight" brought up "bowling", it's a good game. Try it, you'll like it.
