  1. skiing looks easy, but go for snowbarding. Its really fun you wont regret it! =D

  2. skiing you can pick up and learn a lot easier yet snowboarding is so much funner. i promise you that. i used to ski but then got sick of it and now i've been snowboarding for 3 years. with snowboarding there's always more you can learn esspecially if you want to learn tricks and be in a park. i'm not a bad snowboarder, but every time i go out no matter how good i may have thought i was the time before, i always learn more on how to ride easier, smoother and faster and tricks in the park!

    good luck =]

  3. Skiing is something you can just walk right into and with a lesson you'll be riding by lunch time.

Snowboarding takes a few days to get the hang of to the point where you can do a run without falling.

The difference comes after you get to the doing a run without falling leve.  In snowboarding you learn all the skills you need to be an advanced rider in the first few days and you'll progress quickly after your first week riding.  Skiing has much harder advanced techniques and is difficult to improve at after the first week.

Learning skiing won't make you a better boarder at all so if you're interested in snowboarding don't waste your time on skis.  You'll still have to put in the days learning later so might as well not put it off.

Either way get a lesson because that will ensure you learn quickly and safely.

  4. for me skiing was easier to pick up. but i think that's because i learned skiing 1st, so when i started snowboarding i was already used to skiing instead.

but now i've been snowboarding for 4 years & i love it :-) i think it's more fun than skiing (personally).

  5. skiing is lame and easy. snowboarding is awesome, ya its more challenging, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be so happy your not a skier.

  6. well, it definitely depends on the person, but i have found snowboarding is easier to pick up, because within a couple years you can become a good snowboarder, though after many years as a skier, you still may not be paralell and neat. i love both sports, yet i find that the funnest parts of skiing in my opinion came after all my years of doing it (mogles are my favorite) but with snowboarding, i had always enjoyed it, even falling!! i suggest you take a lesson with both sports to try them out. have fun! :-)
