no, i dont think so. i think snowboarding is more like surfing .

When I started snowboarding I had been skating for about 1 year and I figured snowboarding would be like skating. IT'S NOT!!!!!!!!! Surfing is actually more like snowboarding than skating because you use basicly the same muscles, But with practice you can skate good because you already have some of the needed muscle to skate.

Snowboarding and sakting are two very different things. For one, with snowboarding, you have the boarded strapped to your feet, much easier to jump if it's attached to you.
