it depends all on you. i first tried skiing, and it gave no thrill at all, but to some people its a lot of fun, you can do backcounrty, go off jumps (if your good enough) and other things.

myself, and a lot of people find snowboarding to be a lot more fun. it gives you great amount of thrill, you can do eveything skiirs can, and more.

all summed up, it all depends on you. try both and see which one you like better.

depends on what u like. i do both, SB is easier to learn.

I hate this question.  I hear it all the time, and it just leads to arguing.  

People like what they like- and you can't convince them otherwise.  

(Me- I think it's skiing...I'm sure I'll see a thumbs down!)

skiing  is better. go to your local hill and watch it for a while you will see 10 snowboarders laying on the hill crashed,falling over,whatever, compared to skiers and you can go faster on skis

We were in the Alps last week and discussed this quite a lot.  One of the party was snowboarding and he struggled to keep up with the skiers, despite being of a similar standard.  I sometimes wonder whether the 'cool' factor comes into it too much (let's face it, the clothes by the 'boarding brands are better).

You'll end up with a wetter and more bruised bum boarding tho.

I vote skiing as I found it quite easy to pick up and then it's just down to attitude.  If you're going to be more into tricks / freestyle though, go for boarding.

SNOW BOARDING is way easyer to learn and alot les frustrating than skiing and youll have more fun with it
