  1. ya, it's WAY harder to learn than skiing, i've been skiing for a while and it didn't help me at all. don't bother with a butt pillow, wear WRIST GUARDS and a helmet! especially while learning, the first time you fall the wrong way SNAP there goes your wrists. i broke both of mine my first time, you might also want something for your knees, over winter break i went to the slopes like 8 times and my legs were covered in bruises (this is partially because one time i accidently hit myself with my board in the shin, ouch!) IMO boarding is 10x more fun than skiing though. but it takes more practice, which is part of the fun!

  2. Personally, i think it is easy, but when i first started, of course i wasnt the best, but i learned that you have to have really good balence and cordination

  3. Snowboarding is all about balance. So if you have been skiing for years you should be fine. Keep your knees bent and your arms out for balance.

  4. no its fun

  5. Snowboarding is about balance. A lot of people say that is similar to skateboarding, but it is not. Remember, like skiing you're attached to the board by the bindings. Also remember not to use a friend's board if their bindings are not your style. If you do this and you are not an experienced boarder you could easily wipe out. In skiing you lean from side-to-side and lean forward or backward to increase or decrease your speed. In snowboard it is quite the opposite. And in order to keep balance, keep your arms extended, but bent and allow your upper body and hips to turn.

  6. not that hard
