  1. dont be scared be excited i love snowboarding when i stared i had someone help me for 5 min to teach me how to stop and go slow lol

you use you feet more than you think ,wear a helmet and your butt is going to hurt but its worth it

  2. people normally suck when they begin...i died my 1st time last year...but i like it...so i'm going this year too!!! woooooooo!!!

  3. is hard kind of wind u go down go left rite left lite if u go sarate down u will cuz a avalanche

  4. you'll be totally fine. just go with the flow. i taught myself so im sure you can do the same

  5. Actually, snowboarding is much more straightforward than skiing, because it just is. So then don't worry about it you'll be superior. Don't  agonize over you getting killed it won't happen.

  6. lol, funny question :) and i went snowboarding today

its hard at first, but once you keep doing it you'll get better.

and trust me, you won't kill yourself, just keep practicing.

  7. You'll be fine..Is someone teachin you or are you going to try to learn yourself?? My advice is take a beginners course..The instructor will be super nice to you cause they love their job and enjoy helping people learn..It's super fun and easy once you get the hang of it..Which won't take long..If you've skied on water you'll pick it up faster I think, good luck and enjoy I LOVE IT

  8. no ima baney and u jus need 2 stick wit it and be CONSISTENT . if u wanna jus go dwn the slopes tht's not hard, doin tricks and stuff is harder. when doin or startin out tricks, butter u board

  9. It is easier if you are short and have really strong thighs.  I am middle aged and I did it.  I did not injure myself, but my legs were shaking from the strain of trying to get up all the time.

Yes, ppl normally suck when they begin.  I strongly suggest going to one of those group lessons, it really, really helps.  Staying off of your buttock region is the big challenge, if you can actually "flip and kill yourself" I would say you are pretty darn talented.

    Go for it.

  10. Don't worry, I thought the same thing when I started, but everyone sucks when they start. Going down the actual slope and turning is easy, but stopping and getting off the lift is kinda hard. It depends on how good your balance is. But people at the resorts are nice, so don't be embarrassed if you fall. Just go with the flow and look like you know what you're doing. It's really fun (even if you fall)! And you can't really kill yourself or flip because the beginner slopes don't have ramps and there's no way you could do the splits and stuff like that. Plus, snowboarding looks cool.

  11. You won't kill yourself but you may fall a lot. I know I did. It takes time, patience and a lot of practice to snowboard. They say that snowboarding is easier to master than skiing because they can just teach how to do the basics when you ski (the pizza and how  to link turns) but you won't be able to go down intermediate slopes with ease if you use those techniques, where snowboarding you can once you master it.
