  1. a wash without soap is called a rinse.....use good car only soap from auto prts store,,,NO dishsoap

  2. Yes.  But use car wash soap, not dish washing or laundry soap.

I use Turtle Wax Wash and Wax soap on my cars.  It works well and is inexpensive.

  3. Car wash Shampoo is absolutely necessary when cleaning your car. The soap contains light degreasers and conditioners to rid the contaminates from the paint. Also lubricates your washing mitt and paint to prevent paint marring and swirls. However, it does not lift dirt off unless you use foam and let it sit. Contrary to belief, dawn or dishwasher soap is necessary during certain situations. For instance, if you a really dirty car you're going to want to strip all contaminates from the paint. However, it is recommended you apply a sealant and/or wax after wards.

  4. yes.the soap lifts the dirt from the suface of the car so as not to scratch the paint.DO NOT USE DISH DETERGENT.it will strip the wax from the car leaving the paint open to oxidation.
