Is sociology for or against religion?

Against,if it was in favor of religion as you call it,it wouldnt need sociology books,only One Book is needed,and that is the Bible,obviously the sociologist hate the Bible.

Sociology is interested in the ways religion and society interact to shape cultural attitudes, beliefs, and morality.

Sociology has absolutely nothing to do with religion.. Some would like to interject religion into  sociology,,however,,its night and day..Religion is faith based spirituality,,while sociology is the study of  peoples and their behaviors within and to society.. Sociology is the traits and behaviors of all of us with regard to how we live together,, and how we treat one another.. Sociology  can never have a for or against stance,,nor can religion .. Religion can condemn social behavior,,and sociology can condemn religious positions with regard to social behaviors,,but the two serve exact opposite positions...                   SOLOMON
