Is soft water safe for baby chicks?

We have well water that has been tested very safe, but hard. We have a soft water conditioner that treats the water. Is this water safe for baby chicks? Please let me know how you know the answer, too... I just want to be sure...

Soft water and well water r fine 4 baby chicks. i have some and i give them well water and they r fine. i also have olders chickens and i have been giving them well water 4 the past 3 yrs and have not had any problems.

Both are fine, so long as it's clean and fresh, and make sure they can't fall in!
